The Professional College @ King Edward's will offer a new suite of Diploma Qualifications to the Louth and Wolds student community in partnership with local businesses and employers.


The Professional College will offer an exclusive Diploma route in four subject areas, Agriculture, Computing, Business & Enterprise and Early Years Education.  


Each will have their own dedicated hub in the Professional College alongside a specialist Community Business Start Up Hub to help support new and flourishing small businesses.  In addition each hub will be sponsored and supported by local and regional employers.

Early Years

The Diploma


  • Two Year Full Time Course


  • Part College Based and Part Employer/Experience Based


  • Equivalent to 3 A Levels - highest grades equal to AAA at A Level


  • Accepted by all UK Universities e.g. York University for Business

      requires Distinctions in the Diploma or AAB in A Levels.


  • Blended Learning - work based assignments; coursework and          

      examinations all count towards the final award.


  • Minimum Criteria four Grade 5's at GCSE  [inc. English + Maths]    


The College

Students will be based in their own separate College on the edge of the KEVIGS campus.


Opening in 2020/21 the newly refurbished college will have a modern feel, similar to our Sixth Form centre and will be a joint venture in partnership with local employers.


With the benefits of accessing KEVIGS shared faclities and the separate ethos and experience at the College students will have the best of both College, Employers and King Edward's without the long journey to a Further Education College in Boston, Grimsby, or Lincoln.
